The fire devastated the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the middle of the night of the first day of the year. Verified video reveal the ceiling being engulfed in flames as bottles with fireworks are held aloft.

Officials have indicated that it could take an extended period to identify the fatalities of the disaster, which resulted in the death of four dozen individuals and hurt another scores more. A spokesperson noted on Friday that 113 of the injured have been identified, with efforts ongoing to identify the other six.
